ChrisMoose Cards

So I really need to make a solid effort on my Christmas Holiday Cards... I mean, here it is now nearly mid August & I am a long way from having enough of them on hand.  In keeping with my "agenda,"  I decided to use this week's MFT Sketch Challenge (#32, if you are counting along with me), as well as Wee Memories 4-Color Challenge (I used red, white, lime green, & dark green) to make more Christmas cards.  Well, in this week's case... it's ChrisMoose Cards.  Take a look:
MFTWSC #32 - This week's sketch
Here's my cards (& you'll see why I called this "ChrisMoose Cards"):
 The 1st card is a larger card, 5 x 7" & my 2nd card "flipped the sketch" using a standard A2 size (4-1/4” x 5-1/2”) card.
MFTWSC #32 & WM #63- Happy Holly Days

Both cards used the same stamp set from My Favorite Things, Cuttlebug's dots embossing folder, Stampendous flocking powder (brown) on the antlers, Glossy Accents from Ranger Inkessentials (used on eyes & nose), At You Spica glitter markers, and Copic Markers.  (The ribbon was probably from Michael's Stores, but both were scrap pieces.)

I hope you liked these holiday cards, because there are more to come during the following weeks!  Making more holiday cards will help get me in the spirit (too early?), but Christmas is my favorite holiday.  Even though the cards are very similar in color palette & of course, sketch layout... there is something cute & unique about each one.  Surely, I cannot pick a "favorite."

Thanks as always for stopping by to take a look at my latest cr8'ions!

Happy Cr8'ing!

You're The Best, Dad

Recently found & fell "in love" with Taylored Expressions stamps!  Puhleeze, how could I not - they are just so stinkin' cute!  So as part of my efforts to constantly challenge my cr8've self, I thought this week I would try their sketch challenge for the very first time.  And then, I decided to combine this card for a few challenges:

Taylored Expression - Sketch #139

Wee Memories - Free For All
The Sketch
You're the best, Dad

You're the best, Dad (detail)
This sketch was so much fun.  I used Dad Tools by TE to make a Father's Day card using the sketch. I used all scrap bits of Basic Grey papers, colored the image in with my Copics, accented the card with dew drops (that were colored using my Copics, so it would "match" the card better), and finally the "DAD" image with popped up off the circle (for that bit of dimension).

It was super fun to participate in Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge this week, and certainly hope to do so again, and again, and again!  I just love their stamps, and have so many on my Wish List - it's a sad (this economy is affecting my passion for stamping - that's a REAL crime!).

Happy Cr8'ing!

*Mwah!*

This card is for the following challenges:

Stamping Bella - Paper Piecing (the skirt)
Wee Memories - #59, Free For All

*Mwah!*

(Paper-pieced skirt detail)
I kept the card relatively CAS - which is often hard for me to do, because sometimes I just get so carried off with my details.  However, "less is more" is what I need to remember... it produces some wonderful cards!

And keeping in the vein of a CAS card, I'm keeping my entry: CAS. =o)
Happy Cr8'ing!
