School Girl Love

Tiddly Inks current challenge is all about school... as it is nearing that time of year (already). Thank you Teacher Challenge - #61 & TI has some very cool, & oh-so cute images for school, teacher.  You can find them HERE.

I decided to take my card cr8'ion in a not-so obvious direction with the theme using You Are On My Mind.  There was just something about that girl which spoke "school uniform" to me, & how some kids (I was never one of them) who truly LOVE when school starts.  I decided to keep it CAS, something I struggle with - constantly having to tell myself:  "less is more."

TI Challenge #61 - School Girl Love

I had so much fun coloring in her gorgeous, long-flowing wavy hair!  TI is so much fun, because their images are great to really practice coloring techniques using Copics (as I did), or any coloring medium. 

The perfect compliment for my school girl was the binder edge punch from EK Success - it really gives it the "feel" of a notepad (yes, I'm old-fashioned - no iPad here.).  The dimensional sticker was something from K & Company, Brenda Walton collection.
