This past weekend my mother learned that her friend's son passed away. While I do not know the family directly, they have been on my mind ever since I learned of his passing yesterday. It is so sad when a parent has to bury their child; it just doesn't seem the way things ought to go in this life. It's certainly unfair.
I wanted to make a sympathy card for the family, yet still wanting it to be peaceful - not sad in its appearance. I feel as though I accomplished that with the stamped image of an orchid plant (my brother would know EXACTLY which species of orchid this is; he's the expert). The soft papers in the background are courtesy of Cosmo Cricket & K & Co..; glitter has "kissed" just a few of the flowers on the plant.

With Sympathy (Orchids) - Detail |

When a life so young like this passes, it just makes me think about my own life & all life in general. Something my father used to say whispers into my ear at such times, how "we're only here for a visit." So very true, & I suppose some of us have shorter stays than others in this life.
Enjoy your day - enjoy your dear ones & never wait until tomorrow to tell them you love them!
Cr8'ing peace today!
Such wonderful card for such hard time. It's the perfect image. It's a perfect card for a hard time.
