...And Colby Was His Name-O!

By now, it's well-known my love for dogs... especially American Staffordshire Terriers, aka Pit Bulls.  Our dog Colby was a pit rescue and this week's card I cr8'd makes me miss him even more.  My brother, Lawrence rescued Colby; Colby spent the next 11 years with us, everyday expressing unconditional love & constant gratitude towards my brother.  This card, a boy hugging his dog, reminds me of their bond... it was present from the moment they met, until Colby's last breath.

This card is for 2 challenges this week:  My Favorite Things' WSC #12 AND Wee Memories Challenge #49 (sponsored by MFT).  I called the card "...And Colby Was His Name-O" because of our Colby & also taking from the childhood song:  "B-I-N-G-O" - which came easy when I began incorporating the papers & BINGO!

Supplies used for cr8'ing this card:  MFT Stamps (Friends Furever); paper: K & Company (Cut 'N Paste); Copic Markers; Glamour Dust; chipboard embellishment: DCWV (The Pet Stack); open stock card stock & kraft paper; fabric tape:  Making Memories (dog).

Much of the card making supplies I own with dog images are in great part because of that little fella; I'm such a sap for cute dog stamps & collected quite a few during the time we had Colby!  Often times those stamps, papers, etc would be used to create cards for or from Colby.  Every time I make a "dog card" I think of him, & always will!  Miss ya Colby!

Happy Cr8'ing!
