All-Star Salute

Home sick today, again... still fighting a terrible cold that came up on me outta nowhere!  So unfair.  Well, I decided to take full advantage of the time today and made a card for the latest MFTWSC on splitcoaststampers.com.

I used a la modes Blue Without You stamp set from MFT and papers from K & Company's Happy Trails.  The embossed stars are from Cuttlebug embossing plate, while the glitter stars are die-cut shapes.

Celebrating Memorial Day this coming weekend was a perfect time to give a "salute" to the troops or anyone in your life whom deserves special recognition for their work.  It was refreshing to use colors other than the expected red, white & blue.  Shades of blue and gold with army green... it really came together perfectly!
