The stamp set is adorable - of course, anything with dogs captures my heart - & it sort of "morphed" into a holiday card. Maybe one to give the dog, or the dog to give to its human family... & yes, OF COURSE the dog gets a card at the holidays - he's family! =o)
Here's the sketch to follow for week #40:
And now here's my cr8'ion:

MFTWSC #40 - You Had Me At Woof (image detail) |
I stamped the image using Tim Holtz' Distress Ink in Old Paper. Once colored in with my Copics, the image appears softer - almost like a watercolor effect. I really liked how simply changing the ink color of the stamped image offered a new, refreshing take on this card. Her overcoat was paper-pieced using the same paw-print paper which was used for the card's inside; the coat & hat are accented with matte accents. I went with matte finish, because I didn't want it to "compete" with those twinkling snowflakes. LOL
Thanks for stopping by to see today's card cr8'ion.
Happy Cr8'ing!
