Just A Wee Bit of Green

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Keeping in the spirit of the traditionally Irish Holiday, I made some cards this week for Tiddly Ink's Challenge:  Lucky Me (Challenge #42) that just "scream" (well, maybe not TOO loud) St. Paddy's Day!  I challenged myself a bit within this challenge to use existing TI images (w/o any hint of them being for this holiday), & turn them into St. Pat's Day images.  Take a look-see...

"Doggone Luck" - Tiddly Inks Challenge Submission

"Lucky Bloom Blessings" - Tiddly Inks Challenge BONUS Card
As you can see, once I got into the Shamrock Spirit, there was no stopping me!  Clearly I was on a roll!  The sentiments were something I found on the web by simply searching for "Irish Blessing/Sayings."  Both of these sentiments are just the perfect touch to finish off these images.  Using Word I went through, selected the fonts I wanted for each card & even placed a watermark of shamrocks behind the sentiment on the Doggone Luck card.

Supplies used for cards:  Digi Images by Tiddly Inks, Copic Markers, DCWV Spring Paper Stacks, EK Success Floral Swirl punch, Spica Glitter Markers, Glamour Dust, ribbon: Michael's Dollar selections.

In fact, I am one who saves scraps from whatever cards I have made (trust me, I have a whole expanding file folder FULL of project/card scraps; emphasis on "expanding."), and I did have scraps from these cards.  A few weeks back one of the blogs posed just this sort of challenge (to make a card using scraps), so again I challenged myself to do just that with the scraps from the St. Patrick's Day cards.  Look what I was able to come up with...

Well, I sure hope these cards put you into the spirit of the holiday.  It certainly worked for me!  I'm getting ready to have an Irish feast with the family tonight: corned beef & cabbage.  Yummy!

Enjoy your day & thanks again for taking a look at my cr8'ions!

Happy Cr8'ing!!
