November's Blast From The Past Blog Hop with Taylored Expressions

This month's theme is "thankful..." be it for someone or something.  Me?  I'm thankful for my hunny; he's been by my side through it all over the last few years and while he'd tell me I don't have to "thank him," but I want him to know just how much I appreciate him!

Taylored Expressions' October Blast From The Past Blog Hop

So glad to be able to cr8 again for this month's BFTP Blog Hop. The theme for October's BFTP blog hop is Trick or Sweet.  I had great fun getting to use a new set, well... it's new to me:  Home Sweet Home.  It made it very easy to go overboard with the "sweetness" factor...  you'll see what I mean when you look at the card I cr8'd.

I had so much fun infusing lots of color & sugary-sweet dimension to this card!  I used Glamour Dust to cr8 the effect of mounds of snow, along with glitter-dusted (using a glitter marker) gum drops that line the path to the door.  Glossy accents was used on the candy canes & clear baubles adhered using glitter glue were placed to give dimension for the Skittles-like candies (as well as the door knob) on the gingerbread house.  The snowflakes were stamped using a powder blue chalk ink & accented with a clear Spica Glitter pen.  Finally the sentiment was stamped using Colorbox black pigment ink & heat embossed (by using a clear embossing powder).
